Mara Orescanin, Ph. D.

Students at NPS earn their Master's of Science degree in both meteorology and oceanography by taking a plethora of classes and by completing a thesis.  Projects I mentor focus on exchange between land and the coastal ocean through tidal inlets, rivers, breaches, and coral reefs.  My goal is to provide students projects that engage critical thinking as well as providing opportunities to build knowledge and skills in areas relevant to naval careers.
